As well as blogging, I periodically write about my knitting. Knitting suits my natural inclination to sit inside in the warmth.

2009′s hats. I was ever so proud of the sheep.
In 2010, I went for a personal best of 31 little hats and managed to knit those and was lucky enough to win Hat of the Month, with ol Beardy here.

This was how I celebrated International Beard Day.

I tend to knit silly things that ultimately serve no purpose. Still, it keeps me out of mischief. These are some of 2010′s projects – all the photos should link to the pattern source (I’m not clever enough to create my own yet).

Mousey – knitted for a friend’s cat from a pattern in Knitted Toy Tales by Laura Long

New baby boy bunny – another Knitted Toy Tale

Easter project #1 – Bunny egg cosies from Little Cotton Rabbits

The other Easter project last year. I knitted these for all my colleagues. Each chicken contains a kinder egg. It was fun to do but never again. The pattern is from Crazy Dazy’s blog.

Um. Get well soon banana…. My first project on DPNs – pattern from Kimberly Chapman.

Grumpasaurus – that’s me before a run that is. He was a pattern from Kat Crafts.

The owl and the pussy cat in their beautiful pea green boat – My niece’s first birthday present. Along with an awesome flapping penguin on a stick. Pattern from Knitted Toy Tales.
